How to Relax in College

So many times I have seen my fellow students suffer from something called burn-out. Burn-out happens when too much time is spent worrying about school and/or work and no time is left to do something fun and relaxing. I cannot stress enough to all of you how important it is to set aside time every day to take a break from your school work.

To help you out, I have scoured the internet for tips from people all around the world:

  • My all time favorite and the easiest to do - Take a power-nap! Taking just 15 minutes to rest your mind can do wonders for your attention and energy for the rest of the day.

  • Exercise - Many college campuses today have a place where students can go and get their excercise in. Take advantage of it, especially since you are probably already paying a fee.

  • Listen to music - Repeatitive things such as music can put your mind into a good rhythm. Music without words would be ideal. Adding words to music makes your mind think too much.

  • Something I came across a lot - Get a good nights sleep! I have found in my own personal experience getting a good nights sleep before an exam is just as important as studying, so balance the two. Once you find that balance, your stress level will decrease.

Do you have any of your own relaxation tips? Post them in the comments. We would love to hear from you.
